Manchester Storms perfect start to the Elite league came
came to a end as they suffered defeat against
Nottingham Panthers.

Nottingham started well and scored the 1st goal of the evening as Christophe Bovin opened the scoring for the Panthers, Storm reacted well to going behind in the contest early and found some rhythm.

After Nottingham's tough defender Mark Matheson was sent to the sin bin Storm with their numerical advantage created a chance for Ciaron Long who finished smartly on 6:41 bring the scores level going into the 2nd period.

Nottingham started to find their feet in the contest and Storm were punished on 25:40 as the Panthers defender Brendan Ellis shot from distance to make it 2-1

The Manchester Storm are made of strong stuff and were planning a big 3rd quarter to reduce the deficit, Unfortunately Nottingham struck early, a shot by Lewis Hook found the roof of the Storm net just 11 seconds into the 3rd period.

Manchester had their chances in the final quarter but it was a mix of great defence from the Panthers and wastefullness from the Storm was enough for Nottingham to take the points.
