Salford Red Devil’s suffered heavy defeat in the South of France as Coach Richard Marshall is left searching for his 1st Super League win as Head Coach.

Salford were 2nd best in every department against the Dragons of Catalan and it will be a concern to fans that the fight usually put up in the arm wrestle in matches has been replaced by errors, mistakes and I’ll disapline.

Leigh Centurions are Salfords next opponents. Fans, coaching staff and players will be hoping a win in the local derby will boost confidence going forward.

It will be a fascinating encounter. the Salford squad is full of quality  and are in need of a morale boosting win to kick start their Super League season.

Off the field rumours and still circulating about Salfords future at the AJ bell stadium, the Supporters Trust have written a open letter and created a pertition to try and keep Salford at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Everything in modern sport comes down to money. Salford negotiated favourable conditions to allow them to play at the AJ Bell without occurring horrific financial losses. It will remain to be seen if Salford will continue to play at the AJ Bell if the ownership or financial terms change this might force Salfords hands in any decition.

Swinton Lions suffered home defeat against Featherstone Rovers as Stuart Littler’s men put up a brave fight.

Rovers showed some clinical finishing running in seven tries in a fast flowing encounter but the Lions will take heart from their performance moving forward to the next game.

York City Knights are the next visitors to Heywood Road, York have invested heavily in the off season but this will mean nothing to Stuart Littler’s men as games are won and lost on the field.

It’s been a busy weekend for the Manchester Storm as they are now in the full swing of the Elite Ice Hockey season.

Storm started their game weekend with a clash against Coventry Blaze, unfortunately for the Manchester men they went down to the odd goal in 7 with Captain fantastic Dallas Ehrhardt among the scorers for the Storm.

Manchester Storm claimed two points in the Elite Series against Sheffield Steelers in five goal thriller

Goals by Maxine Fortier, the impressive Andreas Klavestad and hot shot scorer Ciaran Long gave the Storm fans watching from home something to cheer about.
They faced Nottingham Panthers this Monday and suffered another defeat 4-3. Coach Ryan Finnerty thought his players were lacking in certain areas but hopes he can fix up the problems for the fixtures in the next week.
