Hull KR v Salford Red Devils ladies Match Report

 Salford made it three wins out of three in the championship with a dominant win away at Hull KR.


New signing  international Sarina Tamou started Victoria Kini moved  into the centres as Alex Simpson misses out, Megan Condliffe continued at Loose Forward.

Katie Garry came in on the bench for Chris Bates ladies who were expecting a challenging afternoon.


Salford started slowly but after some aggressive defence from Megan Condliffe Salford opened the scoring after 10 minutes Steph Gray with a trademark run going over in the corner after good work by Demi Jones and Louise Fellingham.

Debutant Sarina Tamou powered over for a debut try, Salfords aggressive defence caused a interception. a couple of tackles later the England international showed aggression and power to going over from 10 metres despite Hull KRs best attempts to stop her. After 17 minutes Salford lead 8-0


Tamou who showed as the half went on why Chris Bates wanted to add her to his squad with a string of powerful runs from her own half, creating a platform with the rest of the Salford pack to create chances.


Luci Mckeown broke down the left edge of the Hull KR defence and ran 80m after a kick from Demi Jones to extend Salfords lead.

Steph Gray grabbed her second on 32 minutes, Tanzin Corcoran creating space for Gray to touch down.


Gray completed her hatrick after half time good work from Louise Fellingham direct from kickoff resulting in Gray setting off on a deverstating run, the centre caused chaos in the Hull KR defence all afternoon.


Luci Mckeown had gone off for some treatment but on 69 minutes when she came back on and made a instant impact, picking up a loose ball from a kick by Jones and raced the length of the field to score.


Salford were in cruise control at this point Louise Fellingham backed up a break from Corcoran and raced over to score after 76 minutes.

Mckeown completed her hatrick  a minute from the end cutting the Hull KR defence to ribbons after a break by Tamou to score.


Chris Bates ladies march on full of confidence ready for the next challenge which is Stanningley at home on the 12th of June.
